About Elizabeth Line

The Elizabeth Line, also known as Crossrail, is the twelfth urban rail transit line in London Underground and the first line in operation. It opened on May 31, 2015. In the first stage, on February 23, 2016, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom visited the Bond Street Station Project Tunnel. On May 20, 2018, the first phase of the second phase of operation was opened, the second phase of operation was opened on December 15, 2019. The third phase of operation will be opened on May 24, 2022, and the urban section line between Paddington and Abbey Wood will be officially opened. The color of the system line is the Queen's lucky purple. What can Elizabeth Line offers

  • 1. The new train has 4 wheelchair spaces near the door of the 5th car for immediate boarding. An emergency alert button in each wheelchair space on the train allows you to contact the driver in an emergency.
  • 2. Each train has 10 multi-purpose spaces for people traveling with strollers, luggage and bicycles. Located in cars 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8. Wheelchair users can also use these spaces, but like a dedicated wheelchair space, there is a dedicated emergency alert button on the lower level.
  • 3. All vehicles have priority seating. These seats have a different color and priority sticker than the others.
  • 4. The same 'turn up and go' service currently provided on the Tube and London Overground is available for passengers who need assistance onto and off trains. Everyone is welcome to use turn up and go. There is no need to pre-book, just turn up at the station and ask staff for assistance.
